Kent Area has 20 Member Societies of NADFAS - the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. Every Society runs a programme of slide lectures on a wide variety of arts subjects, such as: painting, silver, worldwide architecture, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and more. Lectures are given by renowned experts in their field. Refreshments and a chance to mingle with friends, add to the sociable and enjoyable experience.
Study days cover in depth subject of special interest. A varied schedule of visits include houses, museums, galleries and historical buildings at home and abroad. Several Societies have groups of volunteers, recording and conserving our heritage in churches and historic houses. Some actively encourage a wider enjoyment of the arts by young people, through organising workshops or sponsoring projects in schools.
