Area Chairman
- Kent Area has 20 Member Societies of NADFAS - (The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies.)
- Every Society runs a programme of slide lectures on a wide variety of arts subjects, such as: painting, silver, worldwide architecture, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, music and more.
- Lectures are selected by individual member societies as an annual programme and are given by experts renowned in their field.
- Refreshments and a chance to mingle with friends, add to the sociable and enjoyable experience.
- Study days cover in depth subjects of special interest usually accompanied by lunch.
- Our varied schedule of visits includes houses, museums, galleries and historical buildings at home and abroad.
- Several Societies have groups of volunteers, recording and conserving our heritage in churches and historic houses.
- Some actively encourage a wider enjoyment of the arts by young people, through organising workshops or sponsoring projects in schools.
- Many societies run arts related holidays, from long weekends to one or two week holidays. Some incorporate visits to both the UK and abroad.
- Many societies have web links to other arts related organisations in their local area.
