Welcome to the Website for Midkent. We meet monthly in Sutton Valence. This village is very close to Maidstone, the County town of Kent.
Our Objective is to advance public education particularly by promoting the study and appreciation of the decorative and fine arts.
Additionally through our Volunteer Groups we help conserve the nation's artistic heritage by church recording, book cleaning and conservation and the conservation of arms and armour.
Lectures take place on the fourth Tuesday of earch month (except July and August) at 10.45am at Sutton Valence Village Hall, Sutton Valence Hill, Maidstone.
The December meeting is an optional Christmas Luncheon with speaker/Christmas entertainment. Numbers are limited.
Visits/Tours are arranged during the year (e.g. to galleries, exhibitions, historic houses and gardens, churches, theatres, guided walks, etc.
