Magician Bertie Pearce will look at the art of visual deception. The stretching and distorting of perspective has been developed since Roman times and used to camouflage dangerous ideas, heretical statements and even erotic pictures. The effects discussed will include Trompe L’Oeil and the closely related anamorphic art, through to Salvador Dali and the Op-Art of the 1960’s.
